The right wing silliness about doing away with the two party system is gaining momentum. There is concern that there are too many moderates or liberals in the party. Apparently these reactionary Chickens Little haven't been paying attention.
Didn't Specter leave the Republicans last week and complained of the party being too Right-Wing.
Colin Powell has been going around saying that the party has moved too far to the right.
House seats all over the country have been moving towards a more Conservative direction.
Yet these claim of needing a third party persist. Well let's look at the history of third party's in our country on a national level...
Teddy Roosevelt ran as a third party candidate for a third term and he lost by coming in second.
Ross Perot ran twice as a new fiscally responsible option and he lost twice.
Then there was Ralph Nader, Bob Barr, Mike Gervell and countless others, all losers.
This may be the biggest waste of energy since the Bo Grites for President campaign.
It's time to grow up and leave the third party stupidity behind.
